Capitol Learning Co. is a small, independent studio helping adults across mid-Michigan finish a credential, sharpen a skill, or prepare for the next exam — without burning out their evenings. Quiet rooms, real coaches, plans that fit a real calendar.
We're not a test-prep mill and not a college. We're a small studio of coaches, editors, and former classroom teachers who build the study plan with you, sit with you while you do the hard parts, and stay in touch until the goal is checked off.
GED, HiSET, and community-college prep with weekly one-on-one coaching and a written study plan you can actually keep.
Coaching for PMP, SHRM-CP, CompTIA A+, and Google Career Certificates — structured around your shifts, not a generic syllabus.
SAT and ACT preparation, application essay editing, and transfer-credit planning for non-traditional applicants.
Small-group workshops on clear email, reports, grant copy, and the everyday writing that gets people promoted.
Conversational and professional English with patient one-on-one tutors — including pronunciation lab time.
Members get a desk, fast Wi-Fi, free coffee, and a coach on call. Open seven days a week from our Ben Street studio.
Every learner begins with a free intake conversation — in person on Ben Street, by phone, or over a quick video call. We listen, we ask honest questions, and we tell you what we think will actually work.
Memberships are month-to-month. Cancel anytime with seven days' notice; we'll prorate the remaining sessions.

Six-week cohort capped at eight learners. Two evenings a week in the Ben Street classroom, plus take-home practice sets and an end-of-course review.
A desk, fast Wi-Fi, free coffee, printing credits, and a coach you can flag down for fifteen minutes. Best for self-directed learners who just need a steady place to work.
I'd failed the math section twice. Thomas didn't push harder — he pushed differently. Eight weeks later, I passed on the first try.
The studio gave me somewhere to think that wasn't my kitchen table. My PMP study finally stuck.
My essay was a mess. The coach didn't rewrite it — she taught me how to. I got into State.
